Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is Uganda’s smallest national park, covering 33.7 km². Established in 1991, it forms part of the Virunga Conservation Area and is famous for its endangered mountain gorillas.
The park is also home to golden monkeys and a variety of montane bird species.Why Visit: Its volcanic slopes and bamboo forests provide a quieter, more exclusive gorilla trekking experience compared to busier parks.
