Day 1Arrival in Entebbe

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport, where your safari guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel for rest overnight before the long but scenic drive to southwest.
After check-in, you’ll receive a short briefing about the safari and prepare for the journey to Bwindi the following day.

Day 2 Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Rushaga Sector)

Travel southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s mountain gorillas.
Highlights along the route include:
The Uganda Equator crossing
Scenic tea plantations
Rolling hills of southwestern Uganda
Travel time: 8–9 hours with scenic stops
Night: Ichumbi lodge

Day 3Gorilla Trekking in Rushaga (Bwindi)

After an early breakfast, you head to the park headquarters for a ranger briefing before entering the forest to track a gorilla family. The trek can last 1 to 5 hours, depending on where the gorillas are located.
Once found, visitors spend one unforgettable hour observing the gorilla family.
You may see:
The dominant silverback
Mothers caring for infants
Juvenile gorillas playing
This is considered one of the most powerful wildlife encounters in Africa.

Day 4Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Travel north to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most diverse savannah park.
The drive includes a possible stop in the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. This park balances the safari with classic African wildlife viewing, including elephants, lions, buffalo, and antelope.

Day 5Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start the day with an early sunrise game drive.

Day 6Chimpanzee Trekking

After breakfast, head to Kibale forest for chimpanzee trekking.
Chimpanzees are energetic and vocal, and trekking often includes hearing their distinct loud calls through the forest before locating them.
Visitors observe their behavior for one hour once they are found.
After the trek, begin the return drive to Entebbe for departure.
